Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - The Coe College men's tennis team split a pair of matches on Saturday evening, dropping a 5-3 decision against Rose-Hulman while taking down Augustana 5-4. The results move the Kohawks to 5-1 in the spring season.
 
After dropping its first match of the spring season, Coe bounced back in its second match against Augustana, winning 5-4 over the Vikings. The Kohawks took an early lead in the match, thanks to doubles victories from #3 Jon Lansing/Nathan Meskell and #2 Tyler Nelson/Nate Greiner. Coe then immediately clinched the victory, winning the first three singles matches of the evening as Greiner, Meskell and Bo Wilson came up clutch for the Kohawks. Meskell picked up a 6-1, 6-0 victory at #6, Greiner won 6-3, 6-2 at #2 and Wilson won 6-2, 6-2 at #5 to clinch the victory. 
 
Coe's first match of the day featured a non-conference dual with Rose-Hulman, where it dropped its first result of the spring season. The Fightin' Engineers got off to a good start in doubles play, picking up victories in two of the three matches to hold a 2-1 advantage heading into singles. Nate Greiner and Jon Lansing drew the Kohawks closer to the Rose-Hulman lead in singles with 6-0, 7-5 and 6-0, 6-4 victories but the Engineers grabbed wins from the #1, #4 and #6 positions to secure the five points needed for the dual victory.
