INDIANOLA, Iowa – The #14 Coe College wrestling team split a pair of duals in their first triangular of season at the Simpson College on Saturday evening. The Kohawks fell to #2 Wartburg College 23-21 in the first dual of the triangular and beat Simpson College 48-6. Coe moves to 1-1 in both overall and conference duals.
 
Josh Gerke and Kaleb Reeves picked up wins by fall over Wartburg's Brady Fritz (149) and Jordan Brandon (285) in the opening match. Alex Fiddle and Brock Henderson started the day off strong for the Kohawks, both picking up decisions over their opponents at 125 and 133. Ryan Schott also tallied a decision victory at 184.
 
The Kohawks bounced back in the second dual of the night against the Storm. Coe totaled four wins by fall in the dual as Riley Wright (141), Josh Gerke (149), Trevor Schmidt (197), and Kaleb Reeves (285) all achieved the feat. Brock Henderson (133) and Brady Henderson (157) also picked up tech fall victories in the match.
