CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - The Coe College volleyball team ended its regular season with two more sweeps on Saturday, earning 3-0 victories over non-conference opponents Edgewood and Dominican. The Kohawks had a solid offensive performance in the opening match, attacking at a .225 clip while capitalizing on 37 errors in the second match to earn the victories. Coe, which earned the second seed in the A-R-C tournament, finishes the regular season with a record of 23-7 and 7-1 in the league.

Match Facts
- Coe took an early lead in the first set but Edgewood fought back and tied the score a 5-5 to keep it tight. The Kohawks managed to pull away later in the frame with four consecutive points, pushing their lead to 20-15 which proved a large enough gap to secure the opener. The Kohawks registered 13 kills on a .276 clip in the first while the Eagles hit just .194 overall.
- The Kohawks hopped in front again in the second set but the Eagles clawed back from down 7-2 to get within one of the lead. Coe then ripped off five-straight points including a service ace from Grace Lueken, giving it a 13-7 advantage. The lead slowly grew for Coe for the remainder of the match as it extended to nine as the Kohawks won the second set 25-16.
- Edgewood battled back in the third set and took an early 8-5 lead but Coe scored 12 of the next 15 points to regain control and end Edgwood's chances. The Kohawks ripped off another big run later in the set to ice it, scoring five straight which included kills from Kate Tidman and Lueken.

- The Stars took an early lead in the first set as neither team clicked to begin the match but the Kohawks scored five consecutive points to take a 10-7 advantage. Coe continued to outscore Dominican with stretches of three and two in a row as it rode the momentum to the opening set victory.
- Again, Dominican jumped out in front, using a 6-2 stretch to start the match. Coe showed no fear and battled back with runs of four and three straight to retake a lead at 14-12. The teams battled back and forth for a few points until the Kohawks ripped off five straight and four straight as the runs led to a 2-0 lead for Coe.
- The final set featured more back-and-forth action as the score was tight with Coe trailing 15-14 until four straight points. Dominican refused to go away, using a 3-0 run of its own to regain a lead but Coe scored eight of the final 11 points of the match to secure the sweep.
Up next: Coe now awaits the winner of the 3-4 matchup in the American Rivers Conference tournament which will kick off on Tuesday, November 2.
