DUBUQUE, Iowa - The Coe College women's soccer team dropped a road game at Dubuque on Saturday evening, falling 4-0 to the Saprtans. The hosts scored a pair of goals in both halves including a goal inside the first minute to knock off the Kohawks. Coe racked up five corner kicks in the match and mustered two shots on target but Dubuque managed to earn the clean sheet. The loss drops the Kohawks to 2-9-1 overall and 1-3 in the A-R-C while the Spartans improve to 6-6 on the year and 2-2 in league play.

- The Kohawks fell behind from the jump as the Spartans tallied just 16 seconds into the match when Emma Kober scored on the game's first shot. UD quickly made it 2-0, adding to its lead as Samantha Scodeller converted a penalty kick for the Spartans.
- Coe's lone shot of the opening period came late in the half as Carley Balachio had a shot on target saved by the Spartan keeper as the hosts led 2-0 at the break.
- The second half brought more of the same as UD struck early in the period, scoring in the 56th minute as Kobler notched her second of the night thanks to an assist from Molly Schiltz. Three minutes later the Spartans made it 4-0 and put the game out of reach as Baylee Vincent ended the scoring in the match.
Up next: The Kohawks will be back in action Wednesday, October 13 when they travel to Rock Island for their final non-conference match of the season at Augustana at 5 PM.
