LINCOLN, Ne. - The Coe College volleyball team earned a 3-1 victory over Nebraska Wesleyan on Saturday evening, pushing its winning streak to five while remaining a perfect 5-0 in A-R-C play. The Kohawks dropped the opening set to the P-Wolves, falling 25-20 as the hosts were on fire, posting a .368 attack percentage with just three errors. Coe then responded, winning three consecutive sets to secure a perfect 2-0 road trip. The victory moves the Kohawks to 17-6 overall and 5-0 in the American Rivers Conference while Nebraska Wesleyan drops to 9-5 overall and 1-3 in league play.
The team was led by four players who finished with double-digit kills as
Kate Tidman (17),
Gracie Urbatsch (14),
Madi Parson (13) and
Grace Lueken (13) anchored the offense.
Elli Teeple posted 55 assists in the match while pitching in with two kills for the Kohawks. Defensively, four players had double-digit digs as
Majda Suljic (25) was joined by Parson (18), Tidman (17) and
Kinsie Zinnel (12).

- Nebraska Wesleyan jumped out to an early 1-0 lead after defeating Coe 25-20 in the first set as the hosts hit .368 while the Kohawks hit just .282. Coe bounced back in the second set, dominating the Prairie Wolves 25-18 en route to tying the match at one. The Kohawks trailed 10-9 midway through the set but used a 5-0 spurt to regain control of the frame with a 14-10 lead. Urbatsch had a solid second set, finishing with four kills in the period while hitting .571 overall.
- Coe opened an early lead in the third set, holding a 12-7 advantage after a NWU attacking error. The Kohawks would extend the lead to 19-10 which proved too large a gap from the hosts to overcome as Coe to a 2-1 advantage. Tidman was the standout player for Coe in the set, racking up five kills in six attempts as the reigning conference player of the week posted a .833 percentage.
- The Prairie Wolves responded well in the fourth set, taking a comfortable 15-10 lead midway through the frame as Coe was forced into a timeout. After the break, Coe scored seven of 11 points to cut into the lead as it trailed by just two points, forcing NWU into its own timeout. The run continued for Coe out of the break as the Kohawks continued to claw back, evening the score at 23 while forcing another timeout for the Prairie Wolves. Coe went back to the well on the final two plays, setting Tidman up who delivered two important kills to vault the Kohawks into victory.
