CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - Nine Kohawks earned bonus points on Wednesday evening as the no. 3 Coe College wrestling team moved to 4-0 in dual matches thanks to a 54-0 defeat of Buena Vista University. The Kohawks dominated from the jump, picking up a pair of tech fall victories at 133 and 141 before securing four-straight falls at 149, 157, 165 and 174. Coe then got one final tech fall victory at 184 before ending the match with back-to-back pins at 197 and 285.
 
Fourth-ranked Alex Friddle opened the match with an 8-2 decision at 125, defeating Byron Fleming to put Coe up 3-0 in the dual. Freshman Bryce Parke followed up with another impressive performance, defeating Caleb Massari 21-6 at 133 to secure the tech fall victory. Brock Henderson made it back-to-back tech falls with an 18-3 victory over Axel Hernandez as the eighth-ranked 141-pounder secured the bonus points. Sophomore Dylan Falck continued his solid start to the season at 149, pinning Roberto Delgado just over two minutes into the opening period as he gave Coe a 19-0 advantage. AJ Patterson picked up Coe's second-straight fall at 157 as the senior pinned Jacob Hanssen to push the lead to 25-0. Ryker Kurimski and #10 Tristin Westphal then made it four consecutive pins as Kurimski defeated Garret Bruce at 165 while Westphal took down Caleb Rojas at 174 as the pair put the Kohawks ahead 37-0. #7 Ryan Schott recorded Coe's final tech fall victory of the evening at 184, defeating Bruce Lukehart at 184 to set the stage for the final two Kohawks. Jared Voss and second-ranked Kaleb Reeves continued the dominant effort for Coe as both wrestlers recorded pins. Voss secured the fall at 197 over Diego Escarcega with just four seconds remaining in the first period while Reeves wasted no time at 285, pinning Errol Alden 15 seconds in the opening period.
