Jackie Feldt & Jon Lansing Earn A-R-C Athlete of the Week Honors

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - Coe College women's basketball player Jackie Feldt and men's tennis player Jon Lansing were named American Rivers Conference Athletes of the Week in their respective sports. This is the third consecutive week that a Coe College athlete has been honored by the league and the first time since January 2020 that two Kohawks have earned the honor in the same week.

Jackie Feldt
Feldt, a senior from West Des Moines, guided the women's basketball team to its fourth and fifth-straight wins last week. During her run, the Kohawks went 2-0, which included wins over Loras College and Nebraska Wesleyan. Jackie opened the week with a solid performance against the Duhawks, posting 15 points, six rebounds, four steals and one block in 25 minutes of action. She followed up with a season-high 24 points against the Prairie Wolves, going 8-of-20 from the floor while adding six boards, four assists, four steals and one block. This is the second time in her career that Jackie has been named the A-R-C Women's Basketball Player of the Week.

Jon Lansing
Lansing, a junior from Cedar Rapids, helped the Kohawks go 2-0 on the weekend while remaining perfect in the 2021 portion of their schedule. Lansing appeared in four matches, going 4-0 and dropping just three sets in singles play. He opened the morning with an 8-0 win at #2 doubles and then picked up a 6-0, 6-1 victory at #1 singles to help Coe take down Simpson. In the second match, Lansing won 8-6 at #2 doubles before another dominant performance at #2 singles where he won 6-0, 6-2 over his opponent from UWL. This is the first time in Lansing's career that he has earned the honor.
