Box Score PLATTEVILLE, WI. - The Coe College women's soccer team dropped a road contest at UW-Platteville on Tuesday evening, 3-0. The Kohawks held the Pioneers scoreless well into the first half but a long-range strike from Lauren Lodico in the 21st minute of the match gave the hosts an early lead. Just eight minutes later UW-Platteville added to its lead giving it a 2-0 advantage at the halftime break. The Pioneers quickly made it 3-0 early in the second half with another tally in the 56th minute to put the game out of reach for the Kohawks. The result drops the Kohawks to 1-4-1 on the year while the Pioneers improve to 4-0-2 in 2021.

Match Facts
- The teams played a scoreless opening 20 minutes, with neither team creating any real scoring chances. The Pioneers had the best early chance but the Kohawk keeper, Liana Sweezer came up big and made a diving save to keep it scoreless.
- UW-Platteville opened the scoring just seconds after the Sweezer save, as Lodico fired an attempt from well outside the 18 into the bottom corner of the net to give the Pioneers a 1-0 lead.
- The Pioneers made it 2-0 just nine minutes later as Lodico added to her point total with an assist, finding Amber Lueder who scored past the Kohawk keeper.
- The final scoring action of the night came early in the second half when Annalise Spindle made it 3-0 in the 56th minute, scoring off an assist from Lydia Smith.
Up next: The Kohawks will be back in action on Saturday afternoon when they travel to Mount Vernon for a Bremner Cup match against local rival Cornell College.
