STORM LAKE, Iowa - The Coe College women's soccer team defeated Buena Vista 4-0 on Saturday evening, scoring one goal in the first half and three goals in the second to cruise past the Beavers.
Lauren Dufoe opened the scoring for Coe in the 17th minute to give the squad a 1-0 lead at the break.
Isabella Dubon, Isa Partain and
Katelyn Evans all scored in the second half for the Kohawks to lock up the contest. The victory moves Coe to 2-7-1 on the season and 1-0 in the A-R-C while Buena Vista falls to 1-7 overall and 0-1 in league play.

Match Facts
- Coe picked up the first three shots of the game inside the first 15 minutes of the match before Dufoe netted the opener. The goal, which is her third of the season, was assisted by Alisan Hoffman, who picked up her second assist of the year.
- The Kohawks registered seven more shots on target in the remainder of the first half but the BV keeper managed to make the stops and keep the deficit at just one.
- Coe stayed hot out of the halftime break, scoring its second goal in the 47th minute as Dubon scored her first goal of the season off an assist from Brianna Ellsworth.
- After nearly 25 minutes of scoreless action, Coe struck again, tallying in the 71st minute. Partain scored this time, her first of the season as her shot found the upper right-hand corner of the goal.
- The final goal of the match came just six minutes later as Katelyn Evans registered her first goal of the season on a shot that beat the Beaver keeper.
Up next: The squad will return to the field on Saturday, October 2 when it travels to Waverly to take on Wartburg College.
