DECORAH, Iowa - The Coe College women's soccer team suffered a 4-0 defeat to Luther College on Tuesday evening in its final contest of the 2022 season. The Kohawks recorded six shots in the match and four attempts on target but conceded a pair of goals in each half as Luther came out on top. The Norse scored the first goal in the ninth minute and doubled their lead in the 26th. The hosts put the game away midway through the second half, adding two more tallies in the 61st and 71st minute.
Liana Sweezer made nine saves for the Kohawks in goal while
Brianna Ellsworth, Tristyn Perez, Kaeli Gard and
Jenna Aller all recorded shots on goal. Coe ends the season with a record of 1-15-1 overall and 1-7 in the A-R-C while Luther improved to 7-7-4 and 3-3-2 in the league.

- The Norse and Kohawks traded shots in the first four minutes of the match but neither attempt tested the keepers. Luther then put together a strong spell, recording a pair of shots before finally finding the opener in the 9th minute. Coe answered the goal, getting its own shot on target from Perez but the freshman's strike was stopped, keeping the visitors off the board. Luther doubled its lead less than 10 minutes later, scoring from a set-piece opportunity as the Norse cashed in on a corner kick. The Norse added two more goals in the second half, capitalizing on some early offensive pressure. The Kohawks recorded three more shots on goal in the final 15 minutes of the match but Luther's keeper was up to the challenge and helped record the clean sheet.
