Archery Continues Campaign at The Vegas Shoot

LAS VEGAS, NV. - The Coe College archery team continued its season last weekend at the 54th Vegas Shoot at the South Point Hotel & Casino. The tournament, which hosted a record 3,816 archers, took place from February 3-6 and featured archers from 53 countries and all 50 states. The Kohawks had an extremely successful showing, placing numerous archers inside the top-30 of their respective flights. Five Kohawks competed at the event with Kyley Kordick, Alexia Morganti, Ethan Frana, Becca Benson and Rosie Cobb representing Coe. 
 
Frana shot three personal bests in a row, ending the tournament with a 299/300 while placing fifth in his flight. He also landed inside the top-15 compound men in the collegiate division. Kordick also shot personal best throughout the competition, placing sixth amongst all compound collegiate archers. Cobb joined her teammates with another top-20 finish, claiming the spot in the collegiate compound women's division for the Kohawks. Morganti, who competed for the first time at a major competition, and Benson, both finished inside the top-30 in compound collegiate women.

Up next: The Kohawks will return to competition this weekend at the USA Archery Indoor Nationals in Andover, Minnesota.
