CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - The Coe College archery team finished off its season with two major events over the last month, competing at the Indoor National Championships in Chicago before concluding its campaign at The Vegas Shoot last weekend. The Kohawks turned in strong efforts at both events, led by
Kyley Kordick and
Rosie Cobb at the National shoot as they finished 12th out of 26 teams in the Collegiate Female Compound Team division with a total of 2247.
Megan Gearhart had the highest individual score on the team in the U21 Female Compound division, placing 26th out of 96 shooters with a final score of 1138. In Vegas, Coe had four archers in action with Cobb, Kordick,
Lilly Pate and
Alexia Morganti competing. Kordick then continued her stellar performances in Vegas, setting a new school record in the female compound discipline on day 3 with a score of 297, 15x. She finished fourth place in the 13th flight and was followed by Cobb and Morganti who finished fifth in Flight 25 and 12th in Flight 35 respectively. Pate was the lone competitor in the Recurve Barebow competition, placing 18th in Flight 10 to round out the action.
