CEDAR RAPIDS Iowa - The Coe College men's tennis team picked up a pair of victories over A-R-C foe Wartburg College and non-league opponent UW-La Crosse on Saturday at the Clark Racquet Center. The Kohawks dominated both matches, dropping just one team point in total while defeating Wartburg 8-1 and UW-La Crosse 9-0. The Kohawks number-one doubles pair of Rami Hemaidan and Bo Wilson were undefeated on the day, defeating their opponents 8-3 and 8-0 at the top spot. The pair of victories move Coe to 2-0 on the season and 1-0 in the A-R-C.
 
Coe dominated its opening match of the day against conference foe Wartburg, winning all but one tie. The Kohawks were on fire in doubles competition, sweeping the trio of matches while dropping just three sets overall. Coe continued to cruise in singles play, winning five of six matches to secure the victory over Wartburg. Jordan Oaks dominated his opponent at number four, winning 6-0, 6-1 over Griffin Steiniger to kick-start the singles competition for Coe.
