ORLANDO, FL. - The Coe College men's tennis team suffered a 7-2 defeat to #39 Carthage College on Monday morning. The Kohawks fell behind quickly in the match, falling in all three doubles matches despite extremely close battles at number one and number two.
Rami Hemaidan and
Bo Wilson forced the top pair from Carthage to the brink, falling 8-7 (4-0) in a tiebreaker to clinch all three doubles points. The Kohawks went on to win two of six singles matches with
Rami Hemaidan and
Jordan Oaks securing wins for Coe. Hemaidan claimed a 5-7, 6-2, 10-5 victory over number-one Daniel Moore, improving his overall record to 9-0 in singles. The loss drops the Kohawks to 8-3 on the season while Carthage improves to 10-1 overall.
