LINCOLN, Neb. - The Coe College men's tennis team picked up a dominant 8-1 victory over Nebraska Wesleyan on Saturday morning, securing victories in all but one match. The Kohawks got an early lead after doubles play, taking two of three matchups with wins at number two and number three. The dominance continued for Coe in singles as it went on to sweep the competition 6-0 over Nebraska Wesleyan. Five of six Kohawks won their singles matches in straight sets while Jon Lansing earned a narrow 6-4, 5-7, 11-9 victory in a tie-breaking set with Wesleyan's top player Ryan Carey. The win, which is Coe's second in a row, improves it to 10-5 on the season and 3-0 in the A-R-C while NWU falls to 2-6 overall and 1-2 in league play.
