CHULA VISTA, Calif. - The Coe College Clay Target team made its inaugural appearance at the USA Archery Collegiate Target Nationals last weekend, competing against athletes from over 45 colleges and universities. The Kohawks, who competed for the first time at the 50-meter distance, were represented at the event by Rosie Cobb, Kyley Kordick, Alexia Morganti and Ethan Frana. All four athletes competed in each part of the competition, from individual qualification and eliminations to team rounds and mixed team rounds. Kordick opened the event with an impressive top-25 finish in first-day qualifications for Coe. Morganti, who picked up a compound for the first time eight months ago, earned a victory in her first round of eliminations before a defeat to the top seed in the round of 32.
