CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - Coe College men's soccer coach Kyle Bakas and Coe women's soccer coach James Culotta announced that Matt Tennyson has joined both staffs as an assistant coach. Tennyson, who comes to Coe from Lake Forest College, will serve as a full-time coach for both programs. Matt served as the goalkeeper coach and recruiting coordinator at Lake Forest following two years as an assistant coach at Buena Vista. 
 
"We are excited to add an individual of Matt's quality to our coaching staff," said Culotta. "Since arriving, it's clear to see that Matt has a passion for the game of soccer and is driven to succeed in all aspects of coaching. He brings hard work, dedication, thoughtfulness and laughs into the office and I can't wait to see it translate onto the field in a couple of weeks!"
 
Tennyson also brings three years of experience at the Minnesota Youth Soccer Association where organized, coached and instructed traveling girls and boys programs. A graduate of Buena Vista, Tennyson was a team captain and an honorable mention all-conference selection. He tallied 147 saves including 68 in his senior season. 
 
"We are thrilled to welcome Matt to the coaching staff," said Bakas. "His experience regionally in the college and club game makes him a great addition! We can't wait to start making an impact on our players."
