ST. LOUIS, Mo. - The Coe College volleyball team won its second-straight game on Saturday afternoon, taking down Fontbonne University 3-1 on the road for its 13th win of the campaign. Fontbonne won the Coe's three set victories. Coe, which also won its second consecutive road match, was led by middle hitters
Gracie Urbatsch and
Grace Lueken, each posting double-digit kills with attack percentages upwards of .390.
Madi Parson also had another statement game for the Kohawks, adding 13 kills and nine digs while committing just four attacking errors.
Maddy Maahs had her third-straight 40-plus assist effort and had now eclipsed the mark in seven matches this year.

GAME FACTS
- The Griffins showed well in the first set, claiming a 25-22 victory thanks to 14 kills and just one error. Coe bounced back in the second frame, eliminating an early deficit with a five-point rally to take a 16-15 lead. The Kohawks would add another big run later in the set, ripping off six-straight before winning 25-20. The hosts got off to a strong start in the third set, building an 8-2 lead. Coe responded immediately, answering with a strong run to take a lead at 17-13. The Kohawks continued to click over the final few rallies of the third set with the visitors scoring five of the final six points to win 25-17. The teams went back and forth in the final set of the match but Coe utilized a dominant eight-point stretch to grab a 21-13 lead. Fontbonne scored three of the next four points but Coe ended the match with three straight to win 25-16.
Up next: Coe returns to the court on Friday, October 27 in Cedar Rapids, hosting Simpson College at 6 PM.
