CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - The Coe College volleyball team won its fourth-straight game on Saturday morning at Kohawk Arena, defeating Central College 3-0 on Senior Day. The Kohawks cruised to their second-straight sweep thanks to a trio of Kohawks who recorded double-digit kills.
Madi Parson led the team with 12 kills, hitting .229 with 13 digs and just four errors.
Marissa Meyer was close behind with 11 kills and was ultra-efficient for the second match running, hitting .550 with no errors in 20 attempts.
Grace Lueken was the third Kohawk to hit double-digits, posting 10 kills and a hitting percentage of .444.
Maddy Maahs had another strong performance, totaling 35 assists while adding two aces and two kills.

GAME FACTS
- Coe raced to a large lead in the first set, scoring 13 of the first 14 points. The momentum flipped later in the period as Central fought back, pulling within two at 19-17. The hosts settled back in despite the big run from Central, scoring six of the final nine points to take the opening set 25-20. Coe grabbed another substantial lead in the second period, taking a 13-6 lead to control the momentum. Coe pushed its lead to 16-7 but Central refused to quit, slicing the deficit to just four at 18-14. The Kohawks ripped off four-straight points and regained the momentum, eventually taking the second set 25-20. The hosts completed the job in the third set with another strong offensive performance, hitting .262 with just four errors and 15 kills.
Up next: Coe stays at home for its final A-R-C match of the regular season, hosting Loras on Wednesday, November 1 at 6 PM.
