CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - The Coe College volleyball team earned its fifth-straight sweep on Wednesday evening, defeating Loras College 3-0 at Kohawk Arena. Coe, which ended its A-R-C slate with a 6-2 record, dominated Loras from the opening whistle, winning 25-17, 25-16 and 25-11. The Kohawks hit .271 in the victory and had just nine errors. Defensively, Coe forced 19 errors from the Duhawks and held Loras to an attack percentage of .122.
Madi Parson had a team-high 10 kills and posted a .320 attack percentage while adding seven service aces and five digs.

- Coe opened the first set with a dominant 6-1 run. Loras came back and slice the deficit to four at 13-9, getting back-to-back points and four of five. The Kohawks ripped off a strong 7-1 outburst and regained control of the period, cruising to a 25-17 victory in the opener. It was more of the same in the early moments of the second set with Parson ripping off an eight-point serving run to start the period. Coe extended its lead later in the period and fended off a late comeback attempt, winning 25-16 in the second set. The hosts closed the deal in the third set, opening again with an impressive 9-1 start. Coe went on to win the period by its largest margin, earning a 25-11 victory while hitting .360 in the set.
Up next: The Kohawks conclude the regular season this weekend, rounding out the year with a trio of non-conference matches against Benedictine, Marian and Augustana.
