CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - The Coe College football team picked up its seventh win of the season in historic fashion on Saturday afternoon at Clark Field, defeating Luther College 64-2. The Kohawks dominated the game from start to finish and defensively, held Luther to just 21 total yards, the lowest total allowed in program history by over 100 yards. Offensively, Coe scored eight touchdowns, getting scoring contributions from eight different Kohawks as the team recorded seven rushing touchdowns and one passing score. Coe's ninth touchdown of the afternoon was in the opening quarter from the defense, adding to its point total after recording a safety early on in the period.

GAME FACTS
- Carter Maske was limited in the game due to the early advantage for his team, completing 8 of his 15 passes for 123 yards. His long heave went for 36-yards, hooking up with Dominic Shepardson midway through the second quarter. He now has 1,602 passing yards on the year and is completing 59 percent of his passes. Caden Mata played a majority of the second half, tacking on 116 yards on 11-of-13 passing. He added one passing touchdown and chipped in with 33 yards and one touchdown on the ground.
- Ray Seidel anchored the rushing attack for Coe, totaling 74 yards on just 13 carries. He had a long of 23 yards and scored for the fifth-straight game. Jacob Brecht, Maske and Trenton Barnes all eclipsed 40 yards on the ground and found the endzone with Barnes hitting pay dirt twice to bring his season total to five.
- Dominic Shepardson was Coe's most productive receiver in the victory, catching eight passes for 111 yards and one touchdown. The senior now has 2,431 career receiving yards and 20 touchdowns. Jeron Senters and Devon Kollasch each finished with four catches, posting 46 and 31 yards respectively.
- Coe had 13 total tackles for loss on defense, adding one fumble recovery and a trio of interceptions. 11 different players recorded tackles for loss while three different Kohawks came up with turnovers. Ben Adelsberger was the team's leading tackler, finishing with five stops including 1.5 tackles for loss. Mitchel Helmkamp was the solo leader with a pair of tackles for loss, adding the team's lone sack in the victory. Alex Aitchison made four stops from his defensive end position, recording 1.5 tackles for loss. LaDainian Linnear recorded two interceptions in the opening half, recording the first for a 25-yard touchdown, the first pick six of his career. Barron Lenz picked up the final interception, picking off a deflected pass to start the fourth quarter. Julian Garcia Ayala was a perfect 8-of-8 on his extra points and recorded a season-best four touchbacks on his eight kickoff attempts.
