GRINNELL, Iowa - The Coe College women's track and field team picked up wins in four individual events at the Grinnell College opener on Friday evening, the team's first indoor event of the 2023-24 campaign.
Sangai Dukuly was the team's top performer, beginning her season with victories in the 300m and triple jump. Dukuly took the top spot in the 300m with a new personal-best time of 43.76, good enough to move into fourth place all-time at Coe. She added to her first-place collection with a victory in the triple jump, posting a mark of 10.19m to claim the top spot. Dukuly also added a podium finish in the long jump, placing second with a leap of 4.80m.
Morgana Goodlow also had a strong showing in the opening meet of the season, winning the High Jump while finishing third in the 600m and fifth in the long jump.
Lily Mayo picked up the team's remaining victory, winning the 3000m ahead of teammates
Natalie Reifsteck and
Alexis Vaughn who finished second and third.
Tracy Allen was the final athlete to earn an individual podium position at the event, finishing second in the weight throw with a toss of 14.17m.
