BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The Coe College men's track and field team competed at Illinois Wesleyan's Titan Open on Saturday at IWU's Shirk Center. The Kohawk men put together a solid day, registering numerous season-bests and a handful of point-scoring finishes.
Chris Baker earned a pair of top-eight places to lead Coe, claiming fourth in the shot put and third in the weight throw. Baker posted a new personal-best mark in the weight throw, registering a toss of 15.01m, which is also good enough for eight on Coe's top-10 list.
Keyondrae Wilkerson also secured an individual point-scoring finish for the men, placing sixth in the triple jump with a leap of 12.06m, just shy of his personal best. Wilkerson also teamed up with
Paul Cory, Brayden Trebon and
Cole Kirkham in the 4x400 relay, earning team points with a fourth-place finish and a time of 3:35.27.
Ausar Alexander,
Acian Perrien and
Lewis Kleman also set new season-best times for the men's program on the day, laying down new marks in the 60m, 200m and 1-mile run.
