WAVERLY, Iowa - The Coe College men's track and field team competed in its final tune-up event prior to next week's A-R-C Indoor Championships, taking part in Wartburg's Liz Wuertz Invitational on Saturday. The Kohawk men turned in numerous season-best and personal-best performances at the meet while securing four point-scoring finishes. Coe posted new season-best marks in the 60M, 200M and 400M track events as
Acian Perrien, Paul Cory and
Cole Kirkham laid down new markers for the team.
Chris Baker's strong sophomore season continued, registering point-scoring efforts in the weight throw and shot put. Baker fell just shy of his season-best marks in both events, taking eighth in the weight throw with a toss of 13.82M and third in the shot put with a mark of 14.04M.
Keyondrae Wilkerson earned Coe's final individual point-scoring finish on the day, taking third in the triple jump with a leap of 12.17M, just .04M from his season-long. The last point-scoring effort for Coe came in the 4x400M relay with the team of
Dexter Hein-Harrison, Jared Thoma, Gad Kanago and
Robert Hansen combining to earn eighth place.
