STORM LAKE, Iowa - The Coe College women's track and field team had a strong showing on the opening day of the A-R-C Championships, earning a trio of point-scoring finishes and one all-conference honor.
Hannah Pecharich led the way for the women, earning her second-career all-conference honor with a third-place finish in the pole vault. The sophomore came up just short of her school-record mark, clearing a height of 3.10m to earn third and claim her first indoor all-conference honor.
Jaydyn Palmer registered Coe's other individual point-scoring performance, taking fifth place in the shot put with a toss of 12.95m which is a new season best. The final team points came from the distance medley relay team as
Crystal Burke, Cailyn Wright, Alexis Vaughn and
Kandice Kittinger turned in a time of 14:02.73 to claim eighth place. The Kohawks got another standout effort on the opening day as
Morgana Goodlow registered the fifth-best performance in Coe history in the pentathlon in her event debut.
Up next: Coe returns to action tomorrow morning at 10 AM, completing the final day of action at the conference championships.
