CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - The #13 Coe College wrestling team suffered a 33-12 defeat to Wartburg College on Friday evening in the Kohawks' final home dual of the regular season. Prior to the dual, the Kohawk wrestling program honored nine seniors as Logan Andeway, Patrick Chambers, Alex Friddle, Brady Henderson, Ryker Kurimski, Kaleb Reeves, Tristin Westphal and Riley Wright were all recognized for their contributions to the program. Coe got things started after the senior ceremony, opening with a victory at 125 thanks to Cade Hornback who earned a 4-2 decision over 12th-ranked James Levy. Wartburg would take control of the match over the next few bouts, claiming six-straight victories to cement its lead. The Kohawks finished the match on top, picking up two wins in the final three contests. Kurimski picked up the first of two wins for Coe at 184, earning a sudden victory 4-2 decision at 184 after a back-and-forth battle with Wartburg's David Papach. Reeves then became the second senior to claim victory on the night, claiming a first-period fall at heavyweight for Coe.
