WAVERLY, Iowa - Coe College sophomore field athlete Chris Baker earned a spot on Coe's top-10 list yesterday at Wartburg's NCAA Indoor Championship Qualifier, posting a new personal-best mark in the shot put. Baker, who is a native of Cedar Rapids, finished ninth at the event and moved into eighth place all time with a toss of 14.75m. The toss is nearly .75m further than his previous best, set earlier this season at the Hilltop Invitational. Baker will look to ride the momentum into the outdoor season, where he already owns one top-10 mark in the discus.
