CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - The Coe College men's tennis team suffered a defeat in its final match of the 2023 regular season, falling 8-1 to #36 UW-Whitewater on Sunday afternoon at Clark Racquet Center. Coe battled with UWW in the opening doubles competition, playing tight matches at no. 2 and no. 3 but the Warhawks pulled out all three matches for an early advantage. UW-Whitewater continued its strong effort in the singles competition, winning five of the six matches in straight sets.
Isaac Hinze salvaged Coe's lone win in the contest, earning a 6-4, 6-4 decision at no. 6. With the decision, Coe drops to 15-9 overall while UW-Whitewater improves to 15-5.
