DUBUQUE, Iowa - The Coe College men's track & field team competed in its final tune-up meet ahead of the A-R-C Outdoor Championships on Friday afternoon, taking part in Loras College's Dr. Tucker Open. The Kohawk men were led by
Lewis Kleman and
Chris Baker who each set new top 10 marks for Coe in the 1500 and hammer. Kleman posted Coe's first sub-4:00 1500 for the first time since 2011, turning in the fourth-best time in school history with a mark of 3:59.19. Baker continued his assault on the top 10 throwing lists for the Kohawks, breaking into the top 10 of the Hammer with a throw of 48.32m, seventh all time.
Keyondrae Wilkerson and
Skyler Higdon also stood out on the day for Coe, setting new personal best marks while claiming top 20 finishes. Wilkerson set a new personal best in the long jump, earning 12th with a leap of 5.79m. Higdon finished 18th in the hammer and posted a new PR, turning in a mark of 32.98m.
