MADISON, Wisc. - The Coe College women's soccer team picked up a point on the road on Sunday evening, earning a 1-1 draw at Edgewood College. The Kohawks got the opening goal in the 11th minute as
Mac Adams scored her first of the season from the penalty spot to put her team ahead. The game went scoreless for the remainder of the first half and a majority of the second until the hosts tied the game in the 72nd minute. Coe ramped up the pressure for the final moments of the contest, recording five shots but the lone attempt on target from
Carley Balachio was saved.

GAME FACTS
- Coe had the first chance of the game in the 5th minute, getting a shot attempt on goal from Ella Weber but the Edgewood keeper made the save kept the match scoreless. The Kohawks tallied the opener just a few minutes later as Adams converted the spot kick for her first goal of the year.
- Edgewood controlled the next 10 minutes of play, firing numerous shots on target while striking the crossbar along the way. Freshman goalie Lilly Monroe made three saves during the stretch, coming up big for Coe to keep it at 1-0. Both teams traded scoring chances before the end of the first half but again both goalies stood tall as the half ended with Coe on top 1-0.
- The second half was slow to start for both teams but the Eagles managed the first three shots of the period. Balachio tested the keeper in the 55th minute with her first shot on goal of the half but again Edgewood's keeper made the save. Adams put the pressure on around the 67th minute, registering three shots in the span of three minutes but all three attempts missed the target.
- Edgewood leveled the match in the 72nd minute following Coe's strong spell, getting on the board with a goal from Rylee Brotz after an assist off of Marley Satran. Balachio had Coe's best chance in the remaining stretch of the match, putting an attempt on net just two minutes later that was again saved by the Eagle keeper.
