DUBUQUE, Iowa - The Coe College volleyball team split a pair of matches on the final day of the Loras Invitational, dropping a match 3-0 to #15 Gustavus before securing a 3-1 win over Westminster (Mo.). The Kohawks dropped their first match on Saturday afternoon to the nationally-ranked Gusties who hit .246 with just 12 attacking errors. Coe fought back in its final match of the tournament against Westminster, posting its highest attacking percentage (.354) of the 2023 season for a 3-1 victory. Following the conclusion of the tournament,
Grace Lueken was named to the all-tournament team after 31 kills and an attack percentage of .333.

GAME FACTS
- Gustavus jumped ahead in the match with a 25-19 victory in the opening set, taking advantage of eight Kohawk errors in the frame. Coe responded with a better offensive period in the second set, racking up nine kills and just four errors but the Golden Gusties had 13 kills and hit .235 to grab a 2-0 lead. The opponents finished the sweep in the third set, earning a 25-17 victory with their best attacking output, posting 16 kills and a .325 hitting percentage.
COE 3 - WESTMINSTER (MO) 1
GAME FACTS
- The Kohawks dominated the opening set, earning a 25-17 decision after hitting .414 with 17 kills and just three errors. Westminster battled back in set two, hitting .394 as a team. securing a 25-21 victory to tie the score at one. Coe regained a one-set lead in the third, dominating for a 25-18 win. The Kohawks took advantage of seven total errors from the opponents, committing just three attacking errors while recording five service aces. Coe then turned in its best set of the match, hitting .429 with 17 kills and just two errors, securing the tournament-ending 3-1 victory.
