WAVERLY, Iowa - The Coe College women's soccer team dropped its American Rivers Conference opener on the road on Saturday afternoon, falling 3-0 at Wartburg. The Knights scored early in the match, notching the opener less than five minutes into the match. The hosts doubled their lead later in the half despite Coe growing into the game, getting their second goal in the 21st minute. Wartburg all but wrapped up the victory early in the second half, scoring the third and final goal in the 51st minute.

- The Knights began the game on the front foot, firing three early shot attempts before the opening goal just five minutes in. Wartburg kept the pressure up during the next few minutes, forcing Lilly Monroe into her second save in the 15th minute. Coe had a chance to level the game moments later as Ella Weber struck the post with a shot attempt that had beaten the keeper. Wartburg capitalized on the break and added the second goal of the match less than five minutes later, getting its second tally in the 21st minute. The Knights quickly put the game to rest early in the second half, scoring their third goal just over five minutes into the period.
