CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – The Coe College women's swimming & diving team opened its 2024-25 season in style on Saturday afternoon, defeating Illinois College 117-80 in a dual meet. Coe's victory was highlighted by seven event victories, including a pair of individual wins from freshman
Devyn Nabarrete. Nabarrete claimed victories in the 200 IM and 100 Breast, posting times of 2:27:00 and 1:12.08 to claim the top finishes.
Valerie Gutierrez, Lynice Perkins, Jordyn Boyer and
Hollye Gutierrez all picked up individual victories to join Nabarette, contributing to the team victory with nine keys points. The Kohawks 200 Free Realy team made up of
Valerie Gutierrez, Jordyn Boyer, Natalie Pirozek and
Hollye Gutierrez put the icing on the cake for the Kohaw women, securing the top spot in the race with a time of 1:46.66.
