Hansel registers 19-kill double-double to lead Volleyball past Central

PELLA, Iowa – The Coe College women's volleyball team won its fourth straight game on Saturday morning, defeating the Central College Dutch 3-1 in an American Rivers Conference clash. The Kohawks, who now control their destiny for the A-R-C regular season title, defeated the Central thanks in part to a dominant showing from Kelsey Hansel as the junior had a match-high 19 kills and 14 digs. Hansel and the Kohawks took an early lead in the match with a 25-22 victory in the opening set and a 25-18 victory in the second. Central avoided the sweep in the third with a solid response but Coe sealed the deal with another 25-22 decision in the fourth. Hansel was one of three players to hit double-digits in the victory as Gracie Urbatsch and Maddie Harris both eclipsed the mark. Defensively, Coe limited the Dutch to a .161 attacking percentage and 22 errors in the contest. Bella Rio had a team-high 19 digs while Maggie Furlong, Tessa Casebolt and Maddy Maahs had blocks for Coe.
