DECORAH, Iowa - The Coe College wrestling team opened its season at the annual Luther College Open on Saturday. The Kohawks were led by three placers at the meet with Dax Clatt, Kyler Scranton and Russell Coil earning top-eight finishes in their respective brackets. Scranton had the best finish of the day in the Silver 174 bracket, going 3-2 with losses to an unattached wrestler and another from St. Cloud State. Coil and Clatt each finished eighth in their classes, competing in the Silver 285 and 184 brackets. In total, 19 Kohawks were in action at the tournament to open the campaign with all but four picking up at least one victory.
