LINCOLN, Neb. - The Coe College women's basketball team rolled to its nineteenth win of the season on Saturday afternoon, defeating the Nebraska Wesleyan Prairie Wolves 70-53 on the road. The Kohawks built an early lead in the matchup, outscoring the hosts 12-8 in the opening quarter before a dominant 26-10 advantage in the second. The Prairie Wolves kept things tighter in the second half, trading buckets with the Kohawks throughout the final 20 minutes of play.
Caydee Kirkham scored 20-plus points for the second game in a row, finishing with 21 points, six rebounds and five assists while shooting 8-of-10 from the floor.
Kaalyn Petersen was Coe's only other player to hit double-figures in the victory, scoring 14 points as part of the balanced attack. In total, 10 different Kohawks scored in the matchup including six with six or more points.

- Coe opened the game on top, scoring eight of the first 10 points. Petersen was active early, scoring the first six of the game before a bucket from Taylor Brunson made it 8-2 midway through the quarter. The Kohawks maintained a six-point lead throughout the remainder of the quarter but a last-second bucket from the hosts made it 12-8 after one. The visitors rolled to begin the second quarter, ripping off a 12-5 run to extend their lead past double-digits. The lead continued to grow before the halftime buzzer, with Coe scoring 14 of the final 19 points to lead 38-18 at the break. Coe pushed the advantage in the first few minutes of the third, pushing the lead to 27 at 52-25. Nebraska Wesleyan hung tough despite the large deficit, trimming the Coe lead to under 20 late in the fourth quarter. The Kohawk bench handled the remaining minutes of the game, pushing Coe to its 10th win of the conference season.
