CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - The Coe College women's basketball team will take on nationally-ranked and second-seeded Loras College in an American Rivers Conference tournament semifinal tomorrow evening after its dramatic 76-74 win over Luther in the quarters. Coe got by Luther thanks to its two-headed monster of
Kaalyn Petersen and
Caydee Kirkham who combined for 43 of 76 points. Petersen hit her 1,000-point milestone but also posted a new season-high with 24 points, just five short of her career-high. The combo was complimented by
Ellie Wisner who added 15 points off the bench, shooting 4-of-7 from beyond the arc. #20 Loras is 22-3 this year and benefited from a bye in the opening round. The Duhawks are riding a six-game winning streak since a narrow 59-57 loss to Wartburg back in late January. Loras took both matchups in the regular season, handing Coe a 51-36 defeat early in the year before pulling out a 60-58 decision on January 24. The game, scheduled for tomorrow, Thursday, February 22 at 7 PM can be followed along using the live stream and live stats on KohawkAthletics.com.
