CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - The Coe College men's tennis team picked up a pair of wins upon its return to Cedar Rapids on Saturday, defeating Wartburg College 9-0 before a 7-2 win against Cornell College. The Kohawk men opened A-R-C play with a dominant effort, handling the Knights for a 1-0 start in conference action. Doubles play netted the hosts an early 3-0 lead before six straight-sets singles victories to complete the win. Coe clinched the Bremner Cup point later in the evening with a victory over Cornell College, extending their winning streak to at least 12 matches over the Rams. The Kohawks edged Cornell in doubles play with two victories, earning team points at number two and three doubles.

Graham Peterson secured an 8-0 shutout at number three. Singles play featured five more wins for the Kohawks, beating the Rams at each singles spot but number one.
Grant Idoux, Luke Doig, Alex Palomar, Isaac Hinze and
Jumpei Kasai all earned decisions in their singles matches with four wins coming in straight sets.
Up Next: The Kohawks return to Cedar Rapids for their next match, hosting Wartburg and Cornell at Clark Racquet Center on Saturday, March 23 at 9 AM and 5 PM respectively.
