LAKE GENEVA, Wisc. - The Coe College men's tennis team suffered a road defeat on Sunday afternoon, falling 9-0 to No. 10 UW-Whitewater. The Kohawks hung tough in doubles competition, forcing an 8-6 victory at number three and an 8-4 decision at number two. The Warhawks showed well in the singles competition and secured the victory, sweeping all six matches for a 9-0 win.
Bryton Short turned in a strong effort at number three singles despite a defeat, claiming a 6-4 victory in the second set to force a tiebreaker.
Up Next: Coe returns to action on Tuesday, April 9 for a pair of A-R-C road matches in Dubuque, taking on Loras and Dubuque at 1 PM and 4 PM.
