CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – Kye Daywitt shot a personal-best round of 74 on Thursday afternoon to lead the Coe College Women's Golf team in a dual match against Mount Mercy University. The junior from Grants Pass, Oregon had five total birdies including four on the back nine, bouncing back from an opening-nine score of 41 with a three-under 33 on the back. Daywitt placed second overall, two strokes back of the individual medalist from Mount Mercy and five shots ahead of
Anja Mills who placed third. Mills also had numerous birdies in her round, posting a back-nine score of 38 with two birdies.
Morgan Cain, Lia Maxwell and
Molly Baker rounded out the team scoring for the Kohawks, firing rounds of 85, 88 and 88 respectively.
Morgan Witte, Hannah Findly and
Madison Connolly competed as individuals for the Kohawks, placing eighth, 12th and 16th respectively. Witte's score of 84 was the best of any individual player from either team.
