LONG GROVE, Iowa – The Coe College women's golf team turned in a strong opening round at the 2025 American Rivers Conference Championships Saturday, posting a first-round team total of 325. The Kohawks, 15 shots back of round-one leaders Dubuque, were led by freshman
Paige Franzen who carded an impressive 77 with two birdies on the day. Franzen's five-over round has her in a tie for third place, three shots shy of the individual leader.

Lia Maxwell (83) and
Morgan Witte (84) rounded out Coe's day one team scoring and currently are tied for 11th, 15th and 17th with 36-holes to play. Coe is back in action for round two on Sunday with tee times beginning at 11:30 AM.
