Women's Golf claims team title at Fighting Scot Invite, Franzen takes individual medalist honors

MONMOUTH, Ill. – The Coe College women's golf team played in its first two-day tournament of the 2026 spring season Saturday and Sunday at the Monmouth College Fighting Scot Invitational. The Kohawk women made headlines, claiming the team title with a score of 682, posting rounds of 350 and 332 for the championship. Six Kohawks placed inside the top-10 individually, led by freshman Paige Franzen who claimed individual medalist honors with a two-day total of 166. Kye Daywitt was just behind Franzen on the individual leaderboard, placing second overall with a score of 170. Daywitt recorded the lowest round of the tournament, firing a second-round 79 to bounce back from an opening-round 91. Lia Maxwell and Morgan Witte tied for fourth place individually, totaling 36-hole scores of 174. Madison Connolly and Abigail Mundsinger rounded out Coe's top-10 performances, placing sixth and eight respectively with scores of 179 and 184. Sydney Stutzel capped off Coe's championship-winning performance, placing 12th overall with a two-day total of 188.
