CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – The Coe College women's swimming & diving team opened its season with a dual meet victory over Illinois College Saturday afternoon, defeating the visiting Lady Blues 128-96. The Kohawks were led by nine event victories on the day including a 200 Medley Relay victory from Hollye Gutierrez, Devyn Nabarrete, Valerie Gutierrez and Jordan Hughes as the team finished in 1:58.97. Individually, Jordan Hughes, Olivia Feuling and Devyn Nabarrete had two wins each, capping off Coe's all around performance in the dual. Hughes claimed two wins in the 1000 Free and 100 Free while Nabarrete picked up victories in the 200 IM and 100 Breaststroke. Feuling won both diving events for the Kohawks with scores of 177.10 and 192.70 in the 1M and 3M diving events.
