WAVERLY, Iowa – The Coe College women's soccer team dropped a midweek A-R-C match on Wednesday evening, falling 3-1 at Wartburg College. Coe and Wartburg played a scoreless opening 45 minutes with the hosts racking up numerous shots on target. The Knights opened the scoring in the second half in the 58th minute, taking the lead with their first shot on target of the period. Coe responded immediately, getting a tying goal from
Mac Adams, her sixth of the 2025 season. Wartburg answered right back five minutes later, regaining the lead for good in the 64th. The Knights put the game away in the 69th with their third goal of the game.

WARTBURG 3 - COE 1
- Wartburg was on top for much of the opening half, forcing three early saves from Cecillie Monroe in Coe's goal. Elly Manning recorded Coe's lone shot on goal of the half in the 22nd minute, seeing a shot attempt saved as the Kohawks looked to take the lead. Monroe continued to be a force in net, keeping Wartburg off the board with five more saves in the final 20-plus minutes. Wartburg opened the scoring early in the second half, picking up possession in the midfield before a few passes sprung the move. Coe quickly answered, playing a long throw down the left channel from Magdalynne Preuss who fired a cross to the center of the box for Adams who tapped home. Wartburg regained the lead on a set piece in the 64th minute, firing a lofted ball into the box that was headed into the far corner past Monroe. The Knights put the final touches on the victory in the 69th minute as an individual effort beat the Kohawk defense for the 3-1 scoreline.
