GAME FACTS
COE 3 - NWU 1
- Coe and NWU traded small runs in the opening set and were separated by a few points for most of the frame. The Kohawks used a 3-1 spurt late in the set to go up 24-21 and fended off a charge from the Prairie Wolves as Maddie Harris got a set securing kill. Coe built an early 6-1 lead in the second set but were quickly answered by NWU as the hosts made it 8-7 in the blink of an eye. Coe took another commanding lead with a 11-3 run to go up 21-11. NWU stormed back again with a late spurt, scoring eight straight points to pull within one at 24-23 but a kill from Casebolt got Coe out of trouble. Set three featured more scoring runs for both teams but a set-ending 9-2 run gave the Prairie Wolves another shot. Coe refused to let the hosts get any closer, dominating the fourth set in style. An early 11-4 lead turned into more as the Kohawks stretched it to 22-8 which was a large enough gap to see out.
