CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa — Coe College volleyball student-athletes
Avery Beckett, Maggie Furlong, Maddy Maahs, Kelsey Hansel and
Maddie Harris were recognized in Tuesday's American Rivers Conference postseason awards release. Beckett, Furlong and Maahs highlighted the selections as they were named all-conference honorees while Hansel and Harris landed spots on the honorable mention squad. Beckett is earning her first all-conference honor after joining the Kohawk program prior to the season as she led Coe in kills during A-R-C play with 70. Furlong, picking up her second straight all-league selection was just behind Beckett with 69 kills in conference play while hitting an impressive .265. Maahs, who added a fourth all-conference honor to her decorated career, totaled 295 assists in A-R-C play, averaging 10.17 assists per set. Hansel is earning her second straight postseason honor after picking up all-conference recognition last season as she made her presence felt on both sides of the net with 47 kills and a team-high 90 digs in A-R-C play. Harris, earning her first career all-conference selection, finished third on the team in kills during conference play with 61 with a .299 hitting percentage. The five Kohawks will help bolster the squad for its third appearance in the NCAA tournament in the last four years as Coe heads to Bloomington, Illinois on Thursday for an opening-round matchup with UW-Whitewater.
