DECORAH, Iowa – The Coe College women's swimming and diving team competed in its final road dual of the 2025 season Saturday at Luther College. Despite falling 183-49 in the dual meet to the Norse, Coe's competition was highlighted by numerous top finishes and strong individual efforts.
Ashley Fernald secured her first collegiate victory in the 1000 Free, claiming the top spot on the podium with a time of 12:18.21.
Devyn Nabarrete joined her fellow freshman in the victor's club, earning first place in the 100 Breast with a time of 1:14.01. Coe's top relay finish came in the 200 Medley with the squad of
Hollye Gutierrez, Devyn Nabarrete, Valeire Gutierre and
Nessia Wagner placing second with a time of 2:02.43.
Hollye Gutierrez and
Valerie Gutierrez turned in solid efforts during the competition, finishing top three in a pair of individual events.
