CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – The Coe College women's swimming and diving team opened the American Rivers Conference Championships Thursday, competing in the preliminary round in the morning before the finals in the evening. The 2025 championships, hosted by the Kohawks, started well for the women as
Olivia Feuling earned all-conference honors in the 3-meter diving competition. Feuling finished with a final score of 313.30, claiming the team's first medal of the championships. Coe's 200 Free Relay squad of
Natalie Pirozek, Hollye Gutierrez, Ashley Fernald and
Valerie Gutierrez finished just off the podium in the opening event of finals, placing fourth with a time of 1:43.48. Pirozek, who led off the relay, posted a new top-10 mark for her 50-meter leg, finishing in 25.28 to rank eighth on Coe's record book. The Kohawks are back in action tomorrow, Friday, February 21 for the second day of competition at the Coe Natatorium.
