CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – Coe College freshman swimmer
Kamen Rangelov made history on the second day of the 2025 American Rivers Conference Swimming & Diving Championships, shattering the school, conference and pool records en route to the conference title in the 100 Breaststroke. Rangelov's record setting time of 55.80 is just shy of the NCAA B Cut time and marks the first time a Kohawk swimmer has ever posted a sub-56 second time. Kamen was also instrumental in the first relay all-conference honor for the Kohawk men, swimming the opening leg of the 200 Medley squad that finished third.
Isaiah Lawshe, Maxwell Deacon and
Giannino Coniglio teamed with Rangelov, posting a time of 1:39.15 which is seventh fastest in Coe history. Deacon had another strong finish in the 100 Fly individually, placing fourth with a mark of 52.01, the second-fastest time in school history.
