Box Score CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – The Coe College men's tennis team suffered a 6-1 defeat to Iowa Central Community College Saturday afternoon at Clark Racquet Center. Coe battled back-and-forth with the visitors in doubles, earning a gritty 7-6 tie breaking victory at the top spot as Ivan Burt-Smith and Daniel Rohlman defeated their opponents 11-9 in the deciding set. The Tritons managed to secure the doubles point despite the win for Coe at number one, claiming 6-2 and 6-4 victories at number two and three. The visitors went on to claim five of six singles matches as Jumpei Kasai was the lone Kohawk to earn a victory. The sophomore played at number five for Coe and secured a 6-2, 6-2 victory to salvage a point for the hosts.
